Adopting a horse from D-S Rescue is a fulfilling process that begins with learning about our available horses. You can visit our facility, meet the horses, and speak with our team to find the perfect match. We’ll guide you through the entire process, from the initial visit to the adoption paperwork, ensuring a smooth transition for both you and the horse.

D-S Rescue primarily focuses on horses that have been neglected, abused, or surrendered. We work with law enforcement to rescue horses in urgent need of care, offering them rehabilitation, medical treatment, and the chance to heal both physically and mentally before finding them a forever home.

To schedule a miniature horse visit, simply contact us through phone or email. We provide visits for schools, nursing homes, special events, and individual groups. Our team will coordinate the details, including location, timing, and any specific requests, to make your experience unforgettable.

Our tours offer a behind-the-scenes look at the care and rehabilitation process for our rescued horses. During your visit, you’ll meet the horses, learn about their stories, and see firsthand the impact of our work. It’s an educational experience that allows you to connect with the animals and understand the mission of D-S Rescue.

D-S Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization, and we rely heavily on donations and fundraising events to support our rescue efforts. We host events such as raffles, theater fundraisers, and online shopping fundraisers to raise the necessary funds. 100% of the proceeds go directly to our rescue efforts.

We love to have volunteers at D-S Rescue! Whether you want to help with the horses, assist at fundraising events, or contribute in other ways, there are many opportunities to get involved. Reach out to us, and we’ll work together to find a volunteer role that fits your interests and availability.

Before adopting a horse, it’s important to understand their needs, including proper feeding, grooming, exercise, and regular veterinary care. Our care classes are a great resource for first-time horse owners, and we’ll guide you in preparing your home and stable for your new horse to ensure they have everything they need to thrive.

If adopting or volunteering isn’t an option, there are still many ways to support D-S Rescue. Donating funds, purchasing handmade crochet crafts, attending fundraising events, or spreading the word about our mission are all meaningful ways to contribute to our cause and help the horses in need. Every bit of support makes a difference!
